I must tell you that whoever acquires this
piece will be getting a one-of-a-kind piece of art
for the ages, because it was so difficult that I
will never do another. It was drawn freehand on
the shell because my beloved geometry failed me
for the first time ever. As I drew, the lines
smeared terribly (I hadn't thought of hair spray
as a viable fixative at the time) and when I was
ready to carve, I asked my wife what she
thought of it and she said, "What am I supposed
to think of a totally black egg?" She had a good
point, because if I hadn't drawn it myself, I
would never have been able to figue out a single
line. I dearly love this egg, but never again!
