Che Guevara

Actually, his real name was Ernesto Guevara de
la Serna and most of my generation who revered
him didn't even know that he was from Argentina
and had been a Physician there. All that's
remembered is that he was a revolutionary for
socialism who had helped Fidel Castro in Cuba
and was killed in 1967 when American college
students were beginning to become socially
conscious, opposed to the war in Viet Nam and the
government that brought it on, and were forming
socialist communes. Che became their symbol for
a free and independent lifestyle. How ironic it is
that the poster of him made so much capitalist
money.
