Celtic

Although when we think of the Celts (a
term that is based on culture and
language) we usually think of the Irish.
And Celtic knotwork is also credited to
Ireland. I'm half Scottish and my
apologies to the Irish, but we are officially
Celtic, too. Ever since I was a little child,
my most frequent drawings were of
intertwined ribbons and lines. No
particular reason, I just loved doing them.
Once I found out that type of artwork was
actually part of my heritage (plus I
married a woman of Irish descent), I
began studying the art and working in
earnest. This is a small example, difficult
to do in relief, or 3-D, on a thin goose egg.
