The Turbo Carver uses an air turbine that rotates at 400,000 rpm. A typical rotary tool at a hardware
store rotates at 35,000 rpm. The turbine rotates on 2 high precision (ABEC7) stainless steel ball
bearings that are especially designed and lubricated for life. Filtered gas from a compressor of at least
1/2 hp or bottled CO2 is fed to the turbine through a variable speed foot control at 35 to 45 pounds per
square inch. This tool consumes about 1 cubic foot per minute at 45 psi. A 20 pound tank of CO2 will
operate the tool for about 3-1/2 hours, continuously. The Turbo Carver only uses 1/16 inch diameter
cutting bits, called Friction Grip Dental burs. These burs are available in Carbide, Diamond, Stone
